The Assessment Process

We conduct an intake interview in which we identify problem areas. Once defined, we will then perform assessments tailored to address the referral question. We may meet a child in the classroom or home setting, or for your convenience, you may bring the child to our office.

Many assessments begin with a standard psychological testing, and based on those results, we may make a recommendation for further and/or different types of testing. We will provide you with a comprehensive report that outlines your child’s strengths and limitations, as well as recommendations for facilitating change.

Our team of professionals works closely with parents, agencies and other treatment providers to create clear and specific recommendations for both home and school. We can also support the process by attending meetings and helping to write treatment plans and educational plans, and making appropriate referrals to other professionals.
