• Hillcrest Educational Centers Welcomes Two New Board Members 01/14/2011
Hillcrest Educational Centers has appointed Gina M. Coleman and Lisa M. Baldwin to each serve a three year term on its volunteer Board of Directors. Coleman is Associate Dean of Students at Williams College and Baldwin teaches chemistry at Monument Mountain Regional High School.
"Hillcrest is fortunate to have Gina and Lisa join our Board of Directors," said Hillcrest President-CEO Gerard Burke. "Gina brings an extensive background of teaching and leadership skills to Hillcrest and has a history of helping students in Berkshire County and Lisa's passion and experience in working with the personal and educational growth of her students, will certainly help shape the future of this organization."
Gina M. Coleman
Coleman holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, a Masters of Education from the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts and a Bachelors of Art from Williams College
She received a Governor's citation in 2007, Unsung Heroine of Williamstown, MA, selected by the citizens of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
Coleman is also a Williams College Winter Term Instructor, Executive Director/President of Quest for College, Inc., Williams College First-Year Advisor, and past Board of Trustees at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts.
She resides in Williamstown.
Lisa M. Baldwin
Baldwin holds a Masters of Science Education from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Massachusetts State Secondary Education Certificate in Chemistry, and a Bachelors of Science degree in Chemistry from Boston College.
She is very active in the realm of education. She is a faculty advisor, the recipient of the Kapteyn Prize 2010, a mentor in the WISE Program, supervisor of the Monument Mountain Science Department, chairperson of the NEASC Steering Committee and Board Member of the National Honor Society Faculty Council.
Her affiliations include the American Chemical Society, National Science Teachers Association, Massachusetts Association of Science Teachers and Berkshire STEM Pipeline Network.
Baldwin resides in West Stockbridge.
In addition to Burke, the board includes Mark N. Matthews, Eugene A. Dellea, John Walsh, John J. Martin Jr., Paul Clark, Virginia Dugger, Tomas W. Goggins, Chip Hodgkins, Patricia Joseph, William J. Napolitano, Harold Novick and Kenneth Sewall.
