Golf Tournament Raises $53,000 for Hillcrest 10/19/2012
With lead support from MountainOne Financial Partners, Hillcrest Educational Centers'11th Annual Fall Golf Classic raised $53,000 from tournament sponsorships and silent auction and raffle sales. Over 140 local businesses and individuals contributed or donated items. The event was held on Wednesday, October 3rd, at Waubeeka Golf Links in Williamstown and Donnybrook Country Club in Lanesborough with 172 players and 43 teams participating. Traditionally scheduled for the last Friday in September, this year it was postponed due to the weather.

Hillcrest officials were thrilled with the strong community support and solid turnout.  President and CEO Gerard Burke said, "We are incredibly grateful to our anchor sponsor MountainOne Financial Partners and to all our generous and loyal supporters who make this benefit possible and a success.  This community event raises vital funds for the children and families we serve and it also allows us to raise awareness about the work we do at Hillcrest.  During the afternoon our students join the golfers on the course and for lunch. They love the experience and I know the players appreciate having an opportunity to meet our kids."

Rob Abel, President & CEO of True North Financial Services, a subsidiary of MountainOne Financial Partners said, "We are excited to be the title sponsor of this important event for the second year in row.  Hillcrest Educational Centers serve a critical role for children, adolescents and families, and supporting such work is important to all of us at MountainOne Financial Partners.  We are pleased that this year's event was such a huge success and that our support, along with that of so many others, will go toward great programs right here in our own community."

Presenting sponsor for the Fall Classic was MountainOne Financial Partners. Additional lead sponsors included: Cornerstone Telephone Company, Commercial Distributing, Climate Heating and Cooling, Inc and Futures Education.

Gross and net team prizes, closest to the pin, longest drive for men and women, skins pool winners were awarded at both courses.
