Hillcrest EC 788 South Street, Pittsfield, MA Hillcrest Educational Centers, Inc. has been providing state of the art residential treatment services to students with behavior disorders since 1985.

In addition to these services, We have expanded our scope of service activity in the past years to include:
  • Day treatment services at the Housatonic Academy
  • An expanded Dental clinic that currently treats the majority of veterans and special needs students in western Massachusetts
  • Hillcrest Psychological Services, a psychological testing and assessment service available to all school districts, parents and medical providers in Berkshire county


Each Hillcrest program is accredited in Behavioral Healthcare by the Joint Commission( formerly known as JCAHO). As part of its responsibility to set and monitor standards for healthcare organizations across the U.S., Canada and Europe, the Joint Commission audits Hillcrest services on a regular basis and periodically conducts unscheduled and unannounced program reviews. Hillcrest is licensed by the Massachusetts Dept. of Early Education & Care, and our private and public 766 education programs are fully approved by the Massachusetts Department of Education. Both of these agencies provide periodic, in depth reviews of our programs. Hillcrest also coordinates with Departments of Social Services, Mental Health, Education and Probation Departments in all of the states from which our students come. In order to insure that our services are state of the art in approach, safe, efficient and effective, Hillcrest works closely and cooperatively with national, state and local licensing, oversight and advocacy agencies.
